I have always loved animals, especially dogs and horses.
When I was twelve years old, my parents found a Saturday morning obedience class taught by Charles Gear, anObedience Judge, and I was hooked! My oldest brother purchased an Irish Setter and I had to have one, of course. From that day, I was on my way to training and eventually showing dogs.
From the late seventies thru the middle nineties, Darryl and I raised and showed Newfoundlands. Due to Darryls increased travel to dog shows with our booth and my arthritis issues we "down-sized" from the Newfies. We saw our first Frenchie at a dog show in the mid nineties, Darryl immediately fell in love and began his search for OUR Frenchie. Two years later I held Wilma Sue Kaiser and I was SMITTEN!
We have been very fortunate with the Newfies, Frenchies and Bullmastiff in the show ring. We feel that our success in the Newfie and Frenchie show ring is directly related to our breeding program. We have never bred a litter to meet a demand, but spend hours looking ahead to shape our breeding program for the years to come.We have sold our puppies to both show homes and pet homes. We firmly believe that before buying a puppy, that people should be comfortable with not only the breeder, but the "look" of the breeding line the breeder has developed. Finding the right puppy for the prospective buyer is more important than just selling a puppy because one has a puppy available. This is a lifelong committment between the puppy and new owner and also the breeder. Your breeder and a good veterinarian should be you and your new puppy's best friend!!!!!
Darryl and I have met a lot of wonderful people throughout the years that have become close personal friends. We cant imagine life without our "doggy" friends...two and four legged!!!!!
